“It’s me, Hi, I’m the problem” Don’t be the problem. Seeing a bison (a.k.a. “Nature’s Fluffy Tank”) in person can be an amazing experience. But do be careful. They are big, can run pretty fast, and don’t mind taking you down a few pegs. ⁣Sometimes, you may be extremely careful, meticulously follow all regulations and bison safety tips, and still get run over. ⁣If a bison does start to head your way, secure the pants and back away slowly. Don’t run or make sudden movements. If they’re not moving, be the bigger person and back away. If you’re close enough to touch a bison, don’t. ⁣ There are some clear signs that a bison is agitated. Signs of an ‘agitated bison’ (Good name for a band. We called it first) include: snorting, shaking or tossing of its head, pawing the ground, raising its tail, and bluff charges.
