Has some teeth to it, aye?
Looks like a fungi? Turbinellus kauffmanii is a mushroom native to North America, particularly in northern California and the Pacific Northwest. It’s distinguished by a vase-shaped fruitbody, a beige-tan to light brownish cap with upright scales, and pallid veiny gills.
Can I eat it? Technically, you can eat anything at least once. Should I go back for seconds? These specimens tend to have a pungent smell, and the flesh can have an acrid taste that can cause sickness in some. Best let it be and give it mushroom.
