“Draw me like one of your French sea stars...⁣” ⁣ Can you soften your face a bit? Oh, sorry, it’s just resting beach face. The Blue Linckia, or Blue sea star, can be found lounging in shallow waters exposed to sunlight amongst coral, rocks, and sponges. They posses a cleverly evolved arsenal of hydraulic tube feet connected to an elaborate water-vascular system that encircles the animal's mouth and extends via five radial canals down the center of each arm. Fun fact, sea stars have mouths located at the center of the underside of their bodies. However, they don’t have teeth. Instead of biting or chewing their food, they pull the stomach out of their bodies, through the mouth, and directly digest the prey. Neat! Draw that! ⁣P.S. Never ask a sea star for directions.
