“These pretzels are making me thirsty!” 🥨 These pretzels…are making ME thirsty. Wait? Why do the rangers keep telling me to eat salty snacks while hiking? Won’t that make me more thirsty?” Staying hydrated is important for any visit to a park, but just drinking a lot of water isn’t the whole picture. It’s also important to keep your electrolyte levels up. If you’re out for a long day of hiking, bring at least a gallon of water, but bring along some salty snacks or electrolyte drinks.
