Why are salamanders so happy? They eat whatever bugs them. Who’s hungry? The tiger salamander eats almost anything they find, which includes snails, fish, frogs, and insects. They also tend to eat various types of fishes and slugs. They will also feed on smaller salamander larvae, fish eggs, baby snakes, and insect larvae. Dinner for two? No thanks. The tiger salamander is fairly reclusive and prefers to live by themselves in underground burrows. But thanks for asking.
