The floaty potato, a.k.a. manatee, is a large, fully aquatic mammal. Having a rather plump body shape, manatees aren’t exactly known for their speed and agility, but when needed, they can swim at speeds of 20 mph for small bursts.

Now that we got that cleared up. With a lifespan of about 60 years, manatees are calm herbivores that spend most of their time eating, sleeping, and traveling through slow rivers, canals, saltwater bays, estuaries and coastal areas.
