In 1942, the United States government ordered more than 110,000 men, women, and children to leave their homes and detained them in remote, military-style camps. Saturday marks the 80th annual Day of Remembrance of Japanese American mass incarceration. Starting today and throughout the weekend, the National Park Service, Smithsonian National Museum of American History and Heart Mountain Wyoming Foundation will co-host a series of free, live-streamed panel discussions involving dynamic leaders from around the country who are making a difference. Events will be streamed on the NPS YouTube channel. Learn more by clicking the link in our bio.
