You sit on a throne of spines! Get to the point. Despite the prickly seating arrangement, rock squirrels sometimes climb cacti to find an excellent morning snack or to survey the terrain. The rock squirrel belongs to the ground squirrel family, but it can also be seen climbing boulders, rocks, and trees.
