The first-ever McDonald’s in
#Belgium just got a major, more
#sustainable remodel. Located in Bourse, Brussels, the two-story restaurant’s new design includes:
♻️ 100% of the plastic used in chair shells, tabletops and low stools is
#recycled content
🌳 Over 80% of the wood used is Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) certified, from the tree to the restaurant
💡 All energy-efficient lighting utilizes reusable fittings with replaceable LED chips
😎 Window shutters and suspensions are made from repurposed cardboard
☕️ Recycled coffee bean shells are incorporated into McCafé tabletops
🚫 Laminates, which are challenging to recycle, have been removed from all furniture and décor elements
This refresh builds on a new circular décor concept which began testing in France and is gaining momentum. Learn about how this creative shift is helping us advance progress on our
#sustainability ambitions at the link in bio.
