Jose Eleazar Hernandez peacefully passed away in late February. He went to be with our Lord and Savior at the age of 41. Jose was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. He was affectionately known by his family and close friends as “Sake” which was short for “Sacred.”
Growing up in the westside projects, Sake was always drawn to surround himself with high energy.
The culture that Sacred grew up in was hip-hop. As a great dancer who wanted to show out and show off, he was always the center of attention.
He had hung out with the b-boy crew GWT “Get Wit This,” eventually joined LOF “Lords of Finesse” and made his way to DSK “Dope Style Kids or Kings.”
Later down the road, Jose got the opportunity to do business with The Roxy where he eventually created one of the best nightclub scenes Denver has ever seen. He went on to own multiple successful businesses including Stun Hair Studios, Corazón Gallery, & Bodega 44.
