Trayvon Martin was born #OTD in 1995. He dreamed of flying or repairing airplanes, going to prom, going to college, and had a full life ahead of him. Instead, he was killed in a racist murder in 2012. His death sparked a national conversation about racial profiling and — after the man charged in his killing was acquitted — the Black Lives Matter movement. On May 13, 2017, he received a posthumous degree in aeronautical science from Florida Memorial University. His parents accepted the award in his honor. #TheMarchContinues
