The historically Black town of Eatonville, Florida, was founded by newly freed slaves more than 135 years ago. Now, the town is in danger of gentrification by developers. Commercial development threatens the Hungerford property, a 100-acre Eatonville parcel that was the site of a school founded in 1897 to educate Black children. Residents are fighting to save their town and get their land back.
