Today, December 5th-7th the @civilrightsmemorial is offering free admission in honor of the anniversary of the Montgomery Bus Boycott. The boycott was a civil rights protest during which African Americans refused to ride city buses in Montgomery, Alabama, to protest segregated seating. The boycott helped eliminate early barriers to transportation access and was a catalyst for the civil rights movement.
