Last week, we celebrated the grand opening of our newly renovated playroom! This bright and innovative space is available for children to come and play while admitted to Maynard Children’s Hospital. It offers activities for all ages, including video games, imaginative play, medical play, arts and crafts, and more! There is also a dedicated space for teenagers, deemed the “teen lounge” where they can play games and enjoy the company of other teens who may be going through similar medical journeys. The renovation would not have been possible without the support of Pirates Vs. Cancer – a student-led organization at East Carolina University. The team at Maynard Children’s Hospital would like to express appreciation for their support and we know there will be plenty of smiles and giggles in this wonderful new space!
