We are pleased to announce the successful completion of the NA Advancement Pilot Program by the first cohort of students! Vidant Medical Center (VMC) partnered with Pitt Community College (PCC) to offer the NA Advancement Pilot. The program supports current team members who are Nursing Assistants I (NAI) in obtaining their Nursing Assistant II (NAII) certification by offering both a work-life balance and financial support. The pilot group started classes at PCC on January 19, 2021. Students received a combination of online learning, in-person skills lab, and 80 hours of clinical time at VMC through a hybrid learning format. The program graduated nine of the ten students on March 31, 2021, and looks forward to the next NA Advancement group starting May 10, 2021.
