Frank Buhla was born in Athens, Ohio, in 1907 and spent a majority of his life in Glouster. There, he followed into his father’s footsteps and became a coal miner. While he spent some time in the North for work, he eventually returned to Glouster and opened a boxing gym, bartended and became a successful magician.
