I look up to all the other non-binary runners in the city, as well as all the non-binary and trans athletes who have displayed such courage in showing what their bodies are capable of in the face of extreme adversity.” Meet Jack Marley-Payne👋, an NYRR member who ran the 2023 #TCSNYCMarathon after completing the 9+1 program for guaranteed entry in 2022. “Running 9+1 allowed me to see a whole range of what New York running has to offer, racing across all five boroughs and at distances from 1 mile to 13.1.” Jack started running during the pandemic and the habit stuck.
