In 1979, the Friends of the Libraries was formed to assist in closing the gap between external finding and the cost of high-quality collections and services. Room 319 on the third floor of Alden Library was dedicated as the Friends of the Library Room on May 22, 1980. It is primarily used for educational and cultural activities for up to 80 people, but it is free to use as a study space when not reserved. #BetweentheBooks
