SOUND WARNING, These videos contain loud whip cracking! If you're wearing earphones, please take care of your ears. I decided to try a loudness test of my bigger whips today. I put the new 8 foot bullock whip I made up against my 9 foot bullwhip. I'm not entirely sure which was louder but the bullwhip definitely cracked much closer to my ear (I didn't hit myself, it just made my ears ring). You would think by this point I would know to wear earplugs when going for loud cracks, maybe someday I'll figure it out. #notsmart Also the bullwhip did manage to not only be incredibly loud but also it snapped its cracker clean off of the fall after only a single day of use.
