Peter L. Ziebell, the longtime Mid-Western Rodeo Chairman in Manawa, Wis., and the Committee Representative on the PRCA's Great Lakes Board of Directors, passed away June 24, he was 64. "Pete was a great guy," said Maggie Zinser, former owner of J Bar J with her husband Jim. "He took that rodeo so seriously. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Then, anytime something needed to be changed or fixed with the rodeo, I guarantee you Pete fixed it. He was a doer. He worked on that rodeo all year long and I think the man worked on it 24 hours a day, seven days a week. "He was so dedicated. He was dedicated to the contestants. If they wanted something they got it. They had the best meals for them, and he tried to up his prize money every single year he could. He just never slacked off. They had sell-out crowds.
