After graduation, I took up a job as a Cage Cashier at Harrah's Cherokee Casino in Cherokee, NC, since I had two actuary exams completed but no relevant internship experience. After saving money for 6 months, I decided to travel the world in February 2020 and start studying for the IFM (3rd actuary exam).

What CHANGED? 🌀
I arrived in Egypt and then traveled to Abu Dhabi and Amsterdam when suddenly Covid-19 shut everything down.

How did you PIVOT? ↪️
It was disappointing to fly back to the United States, to say the least, but I dedicated the next 4 months straight to studying for the IFM exam in order to achieve my initial goal of becoming an actuary. Even with no study groups or outside help, I worked very hard to be in the 42% of people who pass. I am proud to say that recently passed the IFM exam and I am cur...
