Meet Alex Deltchev, rising 3rd year ugafranklin Chemistry Major. - What WERE your plans? ➡️ I had planned to begin research and shadowing physicians in the area in order to prepare for my medical school application. - What CHANGED? 🌀The Coronavirus shut down those opportunities so I had to start from scratch once more. - How did you PIVOT? ↪️ I found a clinic in Atlanta that was looking for volunteers to help, however, they closed that program shortly after. I added another class to my summer load and advanced in my degree and I accepted a job at Athens Retina Center doing patient screening. In addition, I also applied to the leadership board of the UGA Global Brigades organization and was selected as the Fundraising Co-Chair. - What did you LEARN? 📚 I learned to always be on the lookout for opportunities and to not get discouraged from pursuing a goal if one door is shut! #pawsitivepivots
