“Greetings from the nation’s capital! 👋 My name is Jaylen Black and this summer I’ve had the utmost privilege to intern for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) as well assist in research Walter Center for Public Policy research in Washington, D.C. Through the DSCC, I’ve been able to directly help Senate races across the nation in the Field/Voter Protection and Finance departments. This became even more interesting after the announcement of retirement of Justice Kennedy and the impact the Senate will have on the Supreme Court nomination. I’ve been able to assist top-notch campaign professionals who’ve worked on a plethora of political races including presidentials. The coolest part of my internship is seeing Senators all day, everyday in our office when they come and fundraise.
