“This summer I spent 6 weeks in a Summer Health Profession Education Program (SHPEP) at The University of Louisville. It is a summer enrichment program focused on academically and experientially preparing college students who are interested in various health professions. That experience helped me to be #ArchReady by providing hands on learning and first-hand exposure to professions such as medicine, dentistry, pharmacy and nursing. My aspiration is to become a dentist and they showed us the pros and cons of the profession and also allowed us to experience the fun side of the profession. That internship instilled the importance becoming a valuable health professional and making a difference in our individual communities.” —Khadija Bello, Biological Sciences major #UGA21
