Adam Krug has announced his resignation from the Adrian College men’s ice hockey program on Wednesday, July 24th. He has accepted a position as assistant coach with the Bakersfield Condors of the #AHL, the affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers. Krug, a 2012 graduate at Adrian, transferred from Wayne State (MI) and was a member of the Bulldogs’ first #NCAA ice hockey team in the 2007-2008 season where he served as team captain. In two seasons, Krug played in 57 games tallying 52 goals and 77 assists for 129 total points. After a professional playing career that began in the #ECHL, Krug returned to Adrian for the 2014-2015 season as men’s ice hockey head coach. He holds a career record of 229-52-14 over ten seasons with the Bulldogs for an .800 winning percentage, the highest among active coaches in all levels of NCAA hockey.
