Yesterday, 8/27/2020, the Palm Bay Police Training & Recruiting Team headed up to the Criminal Justice Academy to support our police recruits in their exposure to OC (oleoresin capsicum) spray. Once sprayed the recruits had to navigate through scenarios utilizing good tactics and judgment. They had to identify and challenge an armed role player, then demonstrate proper defensive tactic strikes and finish by handcuffing another role player in a prone position. They survived!
