🎉 Exciting updates from Burkina Faso! We are thrilled to have just broken ground on our first new school in the country since 2018! In the community of Manegekoma, over 100 residents came out to support the groundbreak and construction efforts last week, along with our building partners buildon . 👏 We commend and thank the community members for the incredible commitment they've shown over the last few months to collect the raw materials necessary for us to be able to move forward! You can see all the sand and gravel (slide 6) they collected by hand over the past few months, which will be used to mix the cement to construct the school. This was surely no easy feat and reflects true community investment! 🙌 The new school block will replace a severely dilapidated structure that was no longer safe due its roof collapsing (last slide).
