Let's talk about 'empowerment'! Though our staff is small, we are proud that 50% of our country teams are comprised of women. Sonder Project leaders like Beria and Sara in Malawi, and Saidatou in Burkina Faso, are vital to engage and gain trust with communities, especially for projects that have a much greater impact on women and girls. In line with our values of 'Listen To All Voices' and 'Demand Equality', it's important to us that critical decisions are informed by balanced and diverse viewpoints, and our team never shy away from having their opinions heard. Saidatou, Sara and Beria are also wonderful role models for the girls in our partner communities! They show the next generation of leaders that it's possible for women to be country directors, decision-makers, or to create their own destiny. That's true #empowerment!
