Our Mission is to empower impoverished communities through high-impact, sustainable development. We believe it's important to define the key elements of this Mission, such as 'empowerment', 'high-impact', and 'sustainability', and over the next few months we plan to share a series of posts to shed light on what these words mean to us and how we work to achieve them. Let's begin with 'sustainability'. For us, sustainability means ensuring that the projects we invest in will continue to benefit the communities we serve long after we're gone. We acheive this by building capacity for self-sufficieny. For example, we recently led a training with one of our drilling partners in Malawi, Doxa (doxawellsholdingsllc ), to train the District Water Office and members of the community on maintaining and repairing our water pumps.
