Today we are excited to commemorate the unitednations International Day of Education by previewing a new clip from an upcoming mini-documentary about The Sonder Project's Student Sponsorship program!
Our sponsorship program seeks to support vulnerable students to stay in school, reach their full potential, and lift themselves and their families out of poverty. In this short clip, our CEO, Chad Zibelman, talks about the confidence instilled in our sponsored students. "It's like night and day."
For young people living in poverty around the world, education provides the greatest opportunity to escape. Unfortunately, there are many barriers to access, resulting in over 244 million youth around the world out of school, and less than 40% of girls in sub-Saharan Africa completing grade 10 (United Nations). It is unacceptable.
Like or share this video if you believe in combating the great inequities that exist in education. And stay tuned for more clips from our mini-documentary highlight...
