(Part 1 / 4) At 60 years old, Margaretia Mwale was supposed to live her golden years simply, at home looking out for herself and her husband, with regular visits from her children and grandchildren. That’s how things were supposed to be at least, until one of her sons passed away from complications from anemia about 5 years ago, and his 6 kids came to live with her in the rural village of Chimphako in Malawi. Her life suddenly became a whole lot more difficult. Water was the main challenge. It would take Margaretia 2 hours to collect water, and she would do this two times a day. Still, the water was never enough, and it was never clean. #UnwrapPotential #CleanWater #DrillingWells #InternationalDevelopment #SustainableDevelopment #EmpoweringWomen #Malawi #DecemberGiving #HolidayGiving #TheSonderProject #SonderStories #ABrightFuture #WaterIsLife #SafeWater #SonderProject #WaterForDevelopment #WellDrilling #BurkinaFaso #CommunityEngagement #CommunityDevelopment
