It all started in 2020 Co-founder Charles Alexander was sent to the grocery store by his wife to buy a few items that included bread, looking to support black owned businesses Alexander searched for a black owned bread brand, but could not find one. Fast forward to February 2021 and Alexander partners with friends Mark Edmonds and Jamel Lewis to launch the very first black owned bread company! How they changed the bread game: 🔸They ultimately came up with a monthly subscription model named, “The Private Bread Club.” The subscription would allow the customer to purchase the order online and receive it every month to their home.
