Today we’re spotlighting the amazing organization bgdstem ! Located in St. Louis, Mo, and founded by Cynthia Chapple, Black Girls Do STEM is an organization dedicated to providing middle school aged black girls the opportunity to learn, create, and build confidence in their abilities to become STEM professionals. Black Girls Do STEM provides mentorship, programs, hands-on experiments, STEM exercises and workshops that teach them to identify problems, create solutions and explore various STEM careers across multiple industries. Their workshops cover a variety of STEM topics including Cosmetic Chemistry, Food Science, Robotics, Forensic Science, Biotechnology and more! Black Girls Do STEM is committed to closing the gap between black women scientists, engineers and the rest of the STEM world!
