These words were publicly shared by the exemplary Dr. Shirley Jackson; the first African-American woman to have earned a doctorate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Just like Dr. Jackson, we know that young people have the potential for solving huge problems. So we often challenge our scholars to think about the problems in their communities that they would like to address.
