Earlier this year scholars at Grant High worked on an Invisible Ink activity that focused on acid and bases. In this activity you start by writing a message on a plain white piece of paper using lemon juice, an acid, when it dries you won't really be able to see anything there. However, when you add a mixture of baking soda and water, a basic mix, to the page the reaction between the two causes the message to change color and become readable.
