Foradori “Sgarzon Teroldego" 2012, Foradori “Fontanasanta Nosiola” 2015
Here at Terzo, we can’t get enough of Elisabetta Foradori. So much so, we’ve made this week’s wine a double feature! We’re highlighting two vineyard-specific wines: 2012 Sgarzon Teroldego ($34) and 2015 Fontanasanta Nosiola ($32).
Fontanasanta Nosiola is a white wine that is as delicious as it sounds mysterious, produced from the local variety Nosiola. Foradori offers some real enlightenment here: a bit of skin contact combined with amphora aging leads to richness balanced by bright tension: Ginger, orange oil, and a dandelion florality precede dried fruit aromas of apricot and pineapple.
Our second featured wine is made from the grape Teroldego, that Elizabetta famously revived. This bottling comes from her Sgarzon vineyard and shows us exactly what Teroldego is really made of.
