It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Frances Bigman z”l, Director of Advancement at TanenbaumCHAT. For nearly two decades, Frances worked tirelessly, dedicating herself to helping to secure the future of Toronto’s sole community Jewish high school. Frances frequently recounted her personal story of receiving assistance to enable her daughter, Shawna Maron ’06, to attend Jewish day school, something that drove her commitment to bolstering financial accessibility. Her efforts significantly transformed TanenbaumCHAT, contributing to the establishment of the Meyer/Finkelstein Gymnasium, the Guttman Family Science Wing, the current construction of a new extension, and many other facilities and programs.
