On Wednesday, September 6, tanenbaumchat opened our doors to welcome our new Grade 9 parents to the school. Over 300 parents were on hand to listen to clinical psychologist and best-selling author Dr. Alex Russell talk about the role of "non-catastrophic, painful failure" and its importance in helping children mature into resilient, resourceful and emotionally balanced individuals. Todah rabah to everyone who joined us for dinner and to schmooze with faculty, staff, admin and student ambassadors. It was a fun and informative evening that included words of welcome from Head of School Dr. Jonathan Levy, Principal Renee Cohen '96, President of the Board Shelley Samel and Interim Director of Advancement Gillian Sinclair.
