Entitled, “Vinnie the Vaccine and the Battle Against COVID-19,” Sarah, alongside co-author Reham Damer, wrote and illustrated the book to explain and de-mystify the complex issue of vaccines for young children. This worthy project earned Sarah, who is pursuing a Master of Science in Interdisciplinary Medical Sciences from Western University, recent recognition as a publichealthinsight “Community Star” for creating change and lasting positive impact in our communities through the application of public health and global health practice.
