The park was filled with over 80 food vendors, nonprofit organizations and artisans, providing a diverse array of options for the thousands of visitors to explore and enjoy. Interactive activities, such as a miniature dragon boat race in a tub and tai chi sessions, offered engaging experiences for attendees of all ages.
“It’s just really a full, packed day of activities all around a beautiful park,” said David Tam, executive director of the festival.
The origins of the annual celebration trace back to the 1980s when the City of Eugene hosted a delegation from Taiwan and sought the help of community members to organize food and entertainment, Tam said.
