Luca Vitale, Mizzou Hockey broadcast manager, sits down with forward Nate Austin ahead of the WashU series. The two discuss the challenge of preventing WashU from scoring in the third period. In other words, preventing the Bears from establishing any momentum in the late stages of the game. Mizzou fans, you may remember the Tigers defeated the Bears in the first round of the MACHA Tournament last season en route to Mizzou's first MACHA Championship in program history. Additionally, the two predict what ranking Mizzou will earn in the second set of rankings this season, and Nate accesses his personal play 10 games into the season. Nate and Luca also recap the first game of the UNO series and what the team took away from that contest. For those who couldn't watch or attend the second game, the contest was suspended due to a UNO player requiring hospitalization due to an on-ice injury.
