After a week in Europe with ZERO intolerances and bloating (truly) but copious amounts of baguettes, cheese, and veggies, I spent part of our first leg home looking deeper into the disaster that is our genetically modified food industry. This conversation isn’t anything new. Peeling back the secretive layers of how and what we eat isn’t novel. But when you experience it first hand, it hits different. When you read ingredient deck after ingredient deck and don’t see the same red flags, it hits different. When you know you’re returning to a place that gives so little health and opportunity to marginalized communities, it hits different. And I haven’t even touched the world of skincare in Europe vs. the US.
