The project announced earlier this month to donate 1 handmade protective face mask and 5 one-ounce bottles of hand sanitizer to United Way for every $25 spent at bubble-and-geek.com (either through gift card or regular purchases) has been a huge success! Last week, I donated 24 masks and 80 hand sanitizers and am nearly finished with another batch for donation. Because of the project's success, I was able to order two more large containers of hand sanitizer for divvying out into smaller, more convenient containers for front-line workers. I've also got fabric and elastic orders coming in regularly to keep mask making supplies on hand.
