spoiler alert: the reason i own a blog is to have an excuse to capture food! and when recipes fail, i take photos anyway. i use it as practice and as a way to decompress after a long day in the kitchen. my studio is my happy place, but also my frustrating and messy place, one that i avoid when i don’t feel creative ‘enough’. im trying to create less ‘perfect’ work (to me, anyways) and leaning towards being nice to myself, slowing down, producing less and enjoying more. it’s hard but i finally hit my breaking point last month after almost 3 years of working 24/7. i’ve seen so many of my friends do the same, and i sense a shift in what and how we share and connect on this platform.
