Great #actors are smart, thoughtful, and empathetic individuals. Start a dialogue with your #youngactor and ask questions that will encourage conversation. Create a working environment where they feel comfortable sharing their own thoughts and ideas as to how and why their character is feeling a certain way or doing whatever it is they’re doing in the scene. Having your young actor mimic you often times sounds and feels forced which results in a mediocre performance.
