Perfect juxtaposition… it’s the honest “bittersweet” truth of the situation. From “Abe Lincoln” to now, we are experiencing more and more “Black 1st’s” like this one. Best believe racism is at the heart of it all, it may not have been the only contributing factor, but it’s damn sure a significant one. While it’s a source of celebration to FINALLY see: 2 black quarterbacks face each other in the Super Bowl, 1st Black Press Secretary, 1st Black Woman on the Supreme Court, etc.. it’s also disappointing that we are this far along and still are only seeing the 1st of so many significant things. My hope is that these 1st’s don’t end up being the only. #TeamDL #blackhistoryeveryday
