Did you know: May is Jewish American Heritage Month, a time to celebrate the contributions of Jewish Americans to the nation's society, history and culture. Recognition of these contributions began in 1980 with a Jewish Heritage Week proclamation from President Carter which was reissued annually for the next 26 years.
