The family of Manuel Terán, a slain activist shot and killed by Georgia state troopers at the site of a proposed controversial police and fire training facility say an independent autopsy shows Teran’s hands were up when they were killed. Terán died during a police raid on the forest where those opposed to the training center dubbed Cop City have been camping. The GBI says a handgun was found next to Teran’s body, and claim troopers were firing back at Terán in self defense after the activist opened fire on troopers.
