17 years ago today, I was hired by CNN. It was a decision that changed my life. Los Angeles will always be home, but it’s in Atlanta where I met my wife, had my kids, and launched my career. What an epic ride it has been so far. Sitting in this chair in my office, I can’t help but think of my dad. He knew I was destined to be a journalist long before I did. And I continue on this path in the face of adversity because I know he would never want me give up on myself.
