#HouseHistory: Edwin Moses ’78 (edwinc.moses) was one of the most dominant 400-meter hurdlers ever, winning 122 consecutive races – including 107 consecutive finals. While majoring in physics and running for the Morehouse Track team (morehousetrackxc), Moses set a world record of 47.63 in the 400-meter hurdles to win his first gold medal in the Montreal 1976 Olympic Games. The American boycott of the Moscow 1980 Olympic Games prevented Moses from defending his second gold medal, but Moses received his third medal at the Los Angeles 1984 Olympic Games and a bronze medal at the Seoul 1988 Olympic Games. Moses later became a leading sports activist and chairman of the Laureus World Sports Academy. Today, the Morehouse Track bears this legend’s name and is good for a drop-in at practice 😎 Salute to our GOAT! #BlackHistoryMonth #MorehouseHistory #MorehouseisEverywhere #WellTraveled
